An approach towards quantum games is proposed that uses the unusual probabilities involved in EPR-type experiments directly in two-player games.Comment: Submitted to the J. Phys. A: Maths & Gen., revised in the light of referees' comments, 14 pages, no figur

    Evolutionary stability in quantum games

In evolutionary game theory an Evolutionarily Stable Strategy (ESS) is a refinement of the Nash equilibrium concept that is sometimes also recognized as evolutionary stability. It is a game-theoretic model, well known to mathematical biologists, that was found quite useful in the understanding of evolutionary dynamics of a population. This chapter presents an analysis of evolutionary stability in the emerging field of quantum games.Comment: 38 pages, 2 figures, contributed chapter to the book "Quantum Aspects of Life" edited by D. Use of social media to promote national culture worldwide

This is the world of social media. This is connected outside the borders of international territories socially. It is social media that has made possible world to be a global village. This is the platform where we can know about happenings all around the world without spending any money or even without going out of our bedrooms. We can understand the language, way of life, professiona and educational activities, interests and eating habits, sports and entertainment of other countries. We can say that social media is best tool to understand the culture of other countries living within your own country. It is a way to know and understand the untold facts of some countries Social media can also be used to promote national culture across the world. Especially the countrie which have a negative image due to some national and international issues can change the miscon ceptions about their countries. They can promote their culture using different social networks. Un told bright aspects of their countries can be highlighted through Facebook, twitter, VK, You tube Google etc. This article would enlighten the importance of social media to promote some country’ culture internationally. It would include in depth international students’ interviews from differen universities of Russia. This research would elaborate how international students use different social networks. This article will attempt to investigate the impact of social networks by promoting th cultural colors of a country. Based on the findings of the analysis, directions for the new research would also be discussed in this article

Social optimality in quantum Bayesian games

A significant aspect of the study of quantum strategies is the exploration of the game-theoretic solution concept of the Nash equilibrium in relation to the quantization of a game. Pareto optimality is a refinement on the set of Nash equilibria. A refinement on the set of Pareto optimal outcomes is known as social optimality in which the sum of players' payoffs are maximized. This paper analyzes social optimality in a Bayesian game that uses the setting of generalized Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen experiments for its physical implementation. We show that for the quantum Bayesian game a direct connection appears between the violation of Bell's inequality and the social optimal outcome of the game and that it attains a superior socially optimal outcome.Comment: 12 pages, revise

Analyzing three-player quantum games in an EPR type setup

    Get PDF
We use the formalism of Clifford Geometric Algebra (GA) to develop an analysis of quantum versions of three-player non-cooperative games. The quantum games we explore are played in an Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) type setting. In this setting, the players' strategy sets remain identical to the ones in the mixed-strategy version of the classical game that is obtained as a proper subset of the corresponding quantum game. Using GA we investigate the outcome of a realization of the game by players sharing GHZ state, W state, and a mixture of GHZ and W states. As a specific example, we study the game of three-player Prisoners' Dilemma.Comment: 21 pages, 3 figure
